This is our latest COB spotlight offering massive output (equivalent to a 50-60w). COB stands for Chip-on-Board which is a much newer technology than individual SMD chips.
Other advantages over older styles lamps is the increased CRI values. These lamps have been designed with the warmer 2700K COB's to replicate a true halogen lamp, offering higher CRI values than any lamp we have ever tested. One of our most popular GU10 bulb's, the Superior is available in both dimmable & non-dimmable options and comes in warm white (2700k), natural white (4000-4500k) and cool white (6000k).
Under normal circumstances, so long as the minimum load is exceeded, dimming mains voltage LED lamps is not an issue.
The brightest 6W LED GU10 on the market.

These standard sized LED bulbs are a direct replacement for your existing GU10 lamps. For a one-off investment you could recover the cost of your order within six months of installing your new bulbs. After recovering your initial investment, every six months thereafter you will continue to make the same massive savings off current energy bills over the expected 50,000 hours life of the lamp.
• These dimmable GU10 bulbs are unlikely to adequately work when used with a conventional "Leading Edge" dimmer switch. Instead it is highly recommended that you change any existing fittings for a dedicated "Trailing Edge dimmer" which offers soft start, smooth control and silent running.

hi there, my light fixing holds 2 gu10 bulbs. it says you can use max 5w, my question is would these be ok to use. the internal fitting is ceramic not Bakelite if that helps.
Hello, Manufacturers give a recommended wattage to get their quoted light output, if this is not enough you can put brighter bulbs like these in the fittings. this will not cause a problem as they do not generate nearly enough heat to damage the fitting. Thank you.
Please can you tell me if these are suitable to use in fire rated downlighters and with Varilight V Pro dimmer switches? Thank you
Hello. Thank you for your question, These bulbs are safe to use in all of our fire rated fittings and we recommend using the Varilight V-Pro dimmer range with them. Thank you.
Hi - Can these work in angled and recessed spotlights? And they need to work with a dimmer is that ok?
Hello. These lights are very close in shape and size to the halogen type so they should work fine. We recommend changing your dimmer to a trailing edge type. The Varilight dimmers we have work great and are in our dimmer section. thank you,
Does the Warm White version produce less lumens than the cool white and natural white ?
Hello, The lumen number we give is for the warm white and the natural white is slightly brighter by roughly 3% and the cool white is brighter by 6%. Thank you,
As per the web page for the Superior COB 6W GU10 LED spotlight it has a higher CRI level than other lights tested however it does not say anywhere what the CRI is. What is the CRI for this spotlight please? Thank you.
Hello, The CRI is Ra>90 Thank you,
